A family reunion was held at the home of Mrs. Sophia Schroeder Sunday, September 23, before the departure of Henry Schroeder and his family for their home in California. The occasion also was in honor of Mrs. Schroeder's seventieth birthday. A big feast prepared by all families present was one pleasure of the day. Another feature was that all of Mrs. Schroeder's children were home and every member of their families was in attendance but two of Henry Schroeder's children in California and one member of Henry Buckmeier's family of Thompson. This seldom occurs in a family circle of fifty-four.

The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schroeder and family of California, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buckmeier and family of Thompson, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Archie Frankforter and family of Tobias, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schroeder and family of Strang, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Meyers of Bruning, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schroeder and family, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lapcheska and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Gewecke and family and F.J. Sieber Jr. of Ohiowa.

I started using Rootsweb in 2000 and they gave us the capability to add, remove, and update our information at anytime and I used these options frequently to post correct and current data. Presently (2006) I am told by Ancestry that we cannot maintain our own databases, we cannot even remove them.
