My previous website domain name KarensGen.Com lapsed and before I could renew cyber-squatters snatched it up. Their fee to buy it back was very unreasonable so I had to rename my website (the dash is added).

(Mrs. Wilhelm Tegtmeier)
Obituary

Curly

OBITUARY-BEECHER HERALD, FRIDAY, JULY 30, 1909

Mrs. Henry Tegtmeier- The death of Mrs. Henry Tegtmeier occurred at noon, Friday, July 23, at her home about three and a half miles northwest of Beecher. The cause of death was heart rheumatism, although deceased had been a sufferer of cancer a number of years and for the past two years had been confined to the bed.

Deceased was 70 years, 5 months and several days of age. She was born in Germany and had been a resident of this country some 40 years. She was married to her surviving husband about 35 years ago and resided on the present homestead ever since. Besides her sorrowing husband she leaves two married sons, Henry, who lives on the homestead and William of Kensington; also six grand children.

Mrs. Tegtmeier was a loving wife and mother, and was dearly loved by all who knew her. She was a faithful and ideal christian and a patient sufferer, bearing her sufferings without complaint until the end. Her death was very peaceful.

The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, and at 3 o'clock from St. Pauls Lutheran church, where Rev. A.H. Brauer paid a glowing tribute to the deceased and also consoled the mourners. The edifice was crowded to its limit with friends who had gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased. Burial was in the church cemetery.

If you have come to my website via Ancestry: Several years ago the genealogy giant Ancestry absorbed the genealogy websites of Rootsweb along with personal databases posted at Rootsweb's WorldConnect Project that included a large database of my own family information. I started using Rootsweb in 2000 and they gave us the capability to add, remove, and update our information at anytime and I used these options frequently to post correct and current data. Presently (2006) I am told by Ancestry that we cannot maintain our own databases, we cannot even remove them. If you find information at Ancestry with my name attached please search my website for current information, the databases posted at Ancestry contain inaccurate information. - Karen Rowe.
